Haegg & Haegg / Information
Hägg & Hägg is an applied system of thought founded by brothers Axel and Jacob Hägg. Operating between Stockholm and Los Angeles since 2011, the group builds and holds ventures across cognitive infrastructure, voice software, contemporary image-making and spatial design.
Every company in the group runs on a single shared substrate: the Cortex. Built in-house before agentic operations had a category name, the Cortex holds the group’s institutional memory, typed records and autonomous agents inside one governed architecture. Two operators and a shared machine intelligence run multiple ventures from the same room, compounding what is learned in one domain directly into the next.
The operating rule across the group is three words: Create, Correct, Cultivate. Start from principle with a made object rather than a pitch deck. Hold that object against operational reality until friction exposes what is false. Keep what survives and turn it into substrate for the next cycle.
Within Hägg & Hägg, each venture applies one facet of that architecture. Studio Super Intelligence is a creative studio working across image, design and code – authoring campaigns, moving image and design systems built to function as machine substrate. Bring Your Own Intelligence (BYOI) is an operations studio researching, building and teaching sovereign cognitive infrastructure for owner-operated businesses. Calleoke builds live, in-ear voice intelligence for high-stakes sales conversations. Negative Space is the group’s art and R&D laboratory – an in-browser 3D exhibition venue and permanent collection for work produced without a commercial brief. TI-SM and Tilth Era hold long-horizon research in physical hardware systems and regenerative soil and culinary protocols.
The group is structured around a dual lens. Axel Hägg leads system design, operational logic and commercial architecture; Jacob Hägg leads creative direction across character, casting, composition and code as a material. Their working method was forged over nine years at Brashy Studios (2011–2020), the Stockholm and Los Angeles design practice they founded together and took from an independent downtown studio to Colette in Paris, KITH in New York and MoMA’s ‘Items: Is Fashion Modern?’ (2017).
